Ugghh the Irritation...

So this is going to officially be my first of many"pregnancy rant"....
& its been irritating the life out of me for about a week now.

Naturally I've stalked a lot of pregnancy & TTC sites and
I've seen "tickers" on almost ALL of them, including different blogs I follow regularly.
I just never took the time to create one because well there was nothing to countdown to.

But since I am newly pregnant I wanted to find an adorable tickers to add to my blog and begin my journey. I went to my few different places and got stuck at the step at almost every sight.
You know the part where you select your background.
Whether it be cute babies feet, an adorable baby, mama's belly with a clock by
it or if non of those appeal to you a stork, pea in a pod or something like that.

Well I loved the cute baby feet but.....there was no choice selection for a tan colored baby...
not Hispanic, Chinese, Indian, black or even a mixed child.....

Hmmmm so I looked at the bellies....but there was no choice for any type of tan or brown belly either....

My feelings began to be a little hurt.
I mean I know...who cares...whatever, just keep it moving
yeah maybe pre-preggo but right now it irritates me.

These sights that I loved so dearly began to feel a little different to me.
Do they not recognize that brown skinned, tan or dark skinned humans have babies too?

I mean I love ALL races and Im not this huge black & white person or anything.
Trust me I am a mixture of just about everything you could name. LOL
But it's the principle.
It just offended me a bit.
Soooooo I wrote to each and every one of those websites about their
LACK of colors and skin tones in choices for tickers.

Even if nothing changes and no one care, I know I spoke my mind and that made me feel better.

I will acknowledge that LilyPie.com has a plethora of choices for tickers
with MANY MANY shades & colors. Which is where I got my tickers!

As well as TheBump.com, very cute tickers with a
substantial amount of choices for different woman or men.

I'm sure there are many sites out there that have these options,
I was just shocked at the ones I followed regularly
that didn't have an option besides a stork or some flowers.

Well I'm done with my complaining now. Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day! & thank you to all those troops and their families for the sacrifices they make everyday!

Special Shout Out to my Daddy Lt. Colonel Keith Lawson still active duty!
I appreciate you, your hard work and your sacrifices for this country & your family. Love you Daddy!

Baby dust to all my ladies out there trying & XOXO to all the preggos!

Florida State Fair!!

So of course this is a semi old event...sorry guys, been so busy.
Like I said I get the pictures loaded, watermark them and then I'm knocked out! lol

Anywho!
We  planned a trip to Tampa to visit Busch Gardens & just so happened....
the weekend we decided to go, the Florida State Fair was in town for it's last weekend!
SCORE!!!!

Now this little family of mine, we love us some fairs!!

We will go to the little country fair, state fair, october fair, march fair, if it's a fair we are there...
anything that includes funnel cake & a little fun for our little man of course!

The day we went there was expected rain and we
got a couple of scattered showers here and ther but it didnt bother us.
We still has a blast!
We go to the Georgia State Fair EVERY year and I have to say the Florida State Fair gave some great competion! There normally arent too many rides that CJ can get on alone or even with an adult.

But there were seriously TONS of rides for him to enjoy!
He was SOOOO happy, which of course made us happy!
He rode everything like 10 times......
He is in LOVE with motorcycles...so this ride he rode 5 times....in a row!
They had a feeding area, where the kids and adults could feed lama's, cows, etc.
They had this big giraffe {that was spitting of course} and everyone was feeding him.

CJ tried but chickened out as the giraffe got close. I cant lie, scared me too! Ha Ha!
At the end of the day we were super tired and ready to crash at the hotel!
We plan to make going to the fair(s) a tradition with CJ and continuing with the rest of our children.
It's our "family" thing.
I love it and so do they.
Until next time guys
XOXO

I Have A Secret...

I finally got my BFP! Yep that's right...I FINALLY got my BFP!!

{First test I took}

{This was the one I gave to my husband in a beautiful little gift bag}

I haven't told anyone because I have scared myself to death with the idea of miscarriage. I have never had one, but hearing, following and seeing all of these stories on blogs and youtube channels has scared the crap out of me. I sympathize with each story I hear and truly take it to heart. I pray about it and I try to let go, but I've just been feeling like I cant enjoy this because Im always scared...
I honestly wasn't going to say anything on my blog either until I was 12 weeks or more.

But this past weekend we told my husbands family, and they were so happy for us.  I realized I need to take time to be happy too & really try to enjoy this pregnancy. If I dwell on what could happen I will never enjoy my pregnancy or my baby...ever...I mean something could happen at anytime. I mean there are miscarriages, still born babies, babies that die of SIDS, kids that pass away at 2 and 3 years old. I cannot let these fears take over my life.
So I'm saying it, loud and proud....I'm pregnant.

I am 6 weeks and 1 day according to my last menstrual period.
So that's puts me with a due date of Jan. 13, 2013.
I dont have my first doctor's appointment until June 14th.
It would have been much sooner, but I will be in Texas for a week and a half and my doctor's office will not allow me to have an appointment before I'm 8 weeks. Totally blows but it's gonna be ok.

God has blessed me again and I'm so thankful.
Thanks to everyone that has sent baby dust and prayers my way.
I can't wait to be a family of four :-)

I appreciate it and Im still sending plenty of baby dust to ALL of you out there. Again, thank you....

BEACH LOVE

Don't you just LOVE the beach??
Well we officially do!!

I did not grow up with the luxury of a beach close to my home, but my husband did.
There is a beach 20 mins from his house
and he had a pool in the backyard! (Can we say SCORE!)
So naturally he is a great swimmer and  he wants our son to be great swimmer too!
CJ is now taking swim lesson every M-W-F and
God know we wish we would have started him in swim lessons
before he turned one, but we know now for the next time we are blessed :)

So anyways....the closest beach to our home is actually a "man made" beach.
It's a huge lake named "LakeBlackshear" and they put a crap load of sand down...
added some restrooms, benches, tables, showers and beach goers...you have a beach!

I wasn't to sure about it before we got there, but once we were there...I was 1/2 way in love!
There were people riding jet ski's, boats, tubing and just laying out!

I brought blankets and snacks to lay on and eat if we felt like it.
CJ took his professional goggles and flippers out in the water [Adorable]
CJ & dady got down to business....swimming business that is!
I splished and splashed a few times in the water but mainly laid out tanning my yellow legs...
Yes that's right folks. Tan!
Some black people do tan, especially when your mixed or super light skinned *wink*

All in all we had a blast, we spent a good 2-3 hours at the beach.

The hunger bug hit us all like a ton of bricks and we went to the cafe/resturaunt they had out there on the marina. They get a nice thumbs up...nice price & good food right off the water.

This is a family trip we plan to enjoy many more times throughout the summer!
Any beach trips planned for you guys?

Until next time...
XOXO

Great Tuesday!

Or NOT!
Im so tired it makes no sense!
Here I am at work, eyes so low, doesn't help that my eyes already chingy (thanks to Grandma).
This weekend was a quick & eventful weekend. Some college friends of mine came back into town for graduation. Seems we all just love going back to school...or we love the money more degrees earns us

*Shrugs Shoulders*
So I have been slacking on my posts. I attend events, my family parties like rock stars...I take pictures. Upload them. Edit them. Watermark them. & then Im knocked out...sleep...dead to the world for 5-6 hours! So once I get around to posting these marvelous events, its 2-3 weeks later! So let's all say it together "I can do better". But for now I'll do what I can. I have a few upcoming posts that will be ridiculously RaNdOm!

So here is a list of upcoming "late" posts:
1. A day in the park
2. We do this: Bikers Edition
3. Florida State Fair!
4. CJ's 1st T-ball Season (of many)
5. GRITS festival
6. Beach Love
7. Swimming

I also want to say thank you to everyone that acknowledged the awards I gave and if I didnt give you one, there are no hard feeling... I promise I still love you. I will be posting soon, pinkie swear :-)
Also Im super excited I will be going home to Texas in June, just in time for my birthday! I miss my family sooooo much! It's gonna be a blast & the posts will probably be broken up into a gabillion posts :-)
[CJ exhausted after a fun day]

Until next time...

I'm a lil loca, this I know!

Hey guys!
[Random pictures alert!]

Sorry for the absence....I have just been stressed out between work, my family, our schedules, missing my family (in Texas), my weight loss, workout schedule and this frustrating TTC journey.
I had a bit of a mental breakdown aka I LOST IT!

[Thought this was hilarious, I love Michelle Obama!]
Picture provided by Google Search

I have just been ridiculously stressed to the point that I wasn't really functioning outside of my job, son and wifely duties. I am the oldest of 4 children and grew up very close.
I live 19 hours away and it is pure tourture to not be
able to see them grow up and help them through their hard times.
That is beginning to weigh on me.

Then the stress of the weight I've gained in the last few
months and now the stress of attempting to lose it, is even worse.
On top of that TTCing for going on 15 months is enough to make me crazy in itseld....So I apologize that this blog went to the back burner for a little bit... I sincerely apologize for that. And thank you to EVERYONE that said a prayer for me and/or sent hugs and love. THANK YOU.
So moving on...

[Hubs & I on a family beach trip, yes my husband has alot of tattoos but he also has quite a few degrees #ijs! ]
Found a new place to edit my photos, love it!It's called Be Funky

I am trying to pick myself up and push forward. I am 7 DPO today and I'm purposely trying not to pay attention to any signs! Which we all know can work a lil but I still manage to recognize that I have been nauseous twice at random times. Doesn't help that two of my closest friends just found out that their pregnant and my bestfriend is delivering this Friday...ugh depressed much! Don't get me wrong I LOVE MY FRIENDS and I am OVER THE MOON HAPPY FOR THEM but it makes me sad for myself.

Anyways back to this DPO business. Husband and I BD'ed ourselves to death for about a week and a half straight...of course with a mini drought right before our fertile time. I pray this is our month, but this is all becoming so repetitive...I am just expecting the worst so that I wont be too disappointed and if I am preggo I will be super excited! Trying to stay optomistic

[Mommies Chucks & Baby chucks...Fav pic of me & CJ when he was still tiny]

I have an appointment in July for my annual check up...hopefully I will be pregnant and won't have to have the "talk" about other methods of getting pregnant. So being positive...Positivity is my thing Im striving for this month....

I'm just going to continue to try to be patient and pray about it. I can only be grateful for all that God has already blessed me . Trust me I am more than thankful. Especially when I know I am  NOT perfect and don't always do what I should. Only God knows his plan and he will bless us when he sees fit. Please send baby dust, luck, whatever you have to offer to us this cycle!

I will be posting again soon, I had a few previews of plenty pictures and posts to come!

Til Next time...XOXO
